Hi everyone,

We want to move out of London but not sure where to move to. We like North Oxfordshire and so I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions on where is good as well as which private schools are good please? Does anyone know anything about Sibford School and any of the little villages around it?

Any suggestions would be gratefully recieved! Thanks!

It's a Quaker school. Thats about all I know. I've been there a few times on courses and it looks a bit tired imo.

I'm sure someone can help more than this though!

The best private schools are in Oxford and Abingdon. Further afield you have Moulsford and St Hughs. you'll need to look round them all and form a view!

You could look at Winchester House prep in Brackley which is accessed by north Oxfordshire people . You
Would then get time to look at private schools in the area and see what suits at 13. Not sure about space though. Sibford is not high flying - I know a child with dyslexia who went there . He was frustrated by average sport and was not particularly happy as it was a poor fit. Oxford has better schools or Stowe.

Thanks so much 1805, Kanga59 and bojorojo for your replies. They have been really helpful. I love the look of Winchester House Prep so will contact them. Our son is mildly dyslexic so that's why I thought of Sibford, but the educational psychologist said he just needs a good prep school to help him catch up so that widens the number of schools we can look at.

Thanks again!
