I'm in tears actually (pregnancy hormones!), but yes, absolutely.
I'm a secondary school teacher. I don't like the job very much at the moment - we're tied by too much administration and too much data. But I love the kids.
The government want to turn all children into numbers/ a grade. We, as teachers, can make sure that they never feel this way in school, by treating them as individuals, celebrating their successes (be it academic or not) and giving them a love of learning.
Thank you jellycake for posting this - it's made me realise how much I love my job and how positive education can be.
