Moshi Monsters Magazine

May be an odd question in the wrong section, but does anyone else's child read Moshi Monster magazines? I'm unsure if they provide an educational purpose especially if they are not worth buying.

Not everything has to be overtly educational. If it gets them in the habit of reading it is good. DD read it for about a year when she was 8 or 9 and submitted a design for a new monster which was published so to was all excitement and pride in our household when that happened. She is now in y6 and reads The Week Junior and national geographic kids.

I remember my school teacher telling my mum that it doesn't matter what your child is reading (obviously appropriate) as long as they enjoy it they will learn. It's good to get them in the habit.
