That last link works, I have a feeling DS is going to love that website.

well just had one question answered by this site...they don't sell star wars mini figures seperately - ds is going to be gutted...

isgrassgreener · 06/01/2007 19:03

God my boys will love this - a new lego site - as good as Christmas all over again.

Is anyone elses house full of lego? Especially lego Star wars and if so does anyone else have the funny little Jabba the hut and Princess Leia in her bikini?

PeachyClair · 06/01/2007 19:04

filthymindedvixen- try putting a call out on freecycle, you never know

isgrassgreener, we currently have the Imperial Star Destroyer and B-Wing set up in ds1's room. I have never had such a stressful Christmas as this, trying to put those damn things together, never again!! ds1 is a lego nut of massive proportions though and we cannot keep up with his enthusiasm for the stuff. dh would probably like the princess leia in the gold bikini though .

filthymindedvixen, dh bought ds1 an R2D2 seperately on eBay, which he was thrilled with, but ended up costing about a fiver if I remember correctly .

charliecat · 06/01/2007 19:19

fmf...look at the price of these...

Bagpuss - we still have a huge AS- DS walking robot thing to build... can't face it yet.
I am lucky as DS1 who is 9 is a lego wizz and needs very little help, he builds all the stuff for his brother who is 6.
The bad bit is when it gets pulled apart, it never gets rebuilt and you just end up with piles of the stuff.
My two are still so crazy about it that we have no other option at the moment.
They are both dressed up in star wars stuff running around with light sabres at the moment, a typical weekend passtime.
Mind you that is also because Robin Hood has finished, so the no longer have capes and bows and arrow on all saturday.

isgrassgreener · 06/01/2007 19:28

Amazed by those prices on e-bay!!!

Mind you DS2 did want the imperial star destroyer for xmas that was £250

Not on your nelly

he was a tad dissapointed when he didn't get it.

southeastastra · 06/01/2007 19:38

blimey last year we got the millennium falcon no-one touches it in case bits fall off

Bagpuss30 · 06/01/2007 19:39

Ahh, igg, we got the smaller one which was still £80, actually, it was my MIL that paid for it. 1300 pieces too .

ds1 already has the new catalogue and is salivating over various sets/figures. Thank goodness he is only 6 and hasn't discovered eBay yet!

isgrassgreener · 06/01/2007 19:42

Yes we got the new catologue yesterday the boys were fighting over who got to read it first.

They will have to wait till the summer for their Birthdays or save their pocket money for a long time till they get anymore.

Mine don't know about e-bay yet long may it last....

Wallace · 06/01/2007 21:52

Anyone tried Lego factory, where you can design something, upload it, then buy it? At first I though wow what a good idea, then I though hmm might be cheaper just to make it out of our extensive lego collection

Mind you, I might get ds to design something, and surprise him with it for his birthday.

RTKangaMummy · 06/01/2007 22:26

DS got the MINDSTORMS robot for christmas

it is really deffo brill fun

Wallace · 06/01/2007 22:28

that looks ace kanga. ds is only 7, but will def get it when he is older

RTKangaMummy · 06/01/2007 22:36

DS is 11 and so yes I think he is the right age for it

We programmed it with laptop to go and pick up a ball turn round and then go forward and drop the ball

DH and I had fun too

It builds loads of other robots too

there are 4 of them that has specific plans for

but it can make loads of other stuff too even a cuckoo clock via plans from website or own imagination
