Quick question re: Secondary entry

My son's birthday falls in November does this mean that when he will spend 2 years in year 6 before he enters secondary school the following September?

No he'll go to secondary school in the september before he's 12.

Has he been moved up a year? What year is he in now and is he 11 this november?
