The BBC ran a story today following on from earlier talks where MPs called to have sex education become compulsory. Nicky Morgan (Education Secretary) has rejected the calls. Sex education is currently compulsory age 11+ but parents are allowed to withdraw their children from some elements.

I thought this story might be interesting to readers who have children around the sex education age, or whose children will soon be at this age - even those who just have an academic/philosophical interest in the subject and how it shapes the sexual and interpersonal development of young people.
