Possibly moving to Chesterfield - Primary and secondary schools

Hi,

We are possibly moving to Chesterfield next summer, and would like some advice on schools and good areas to live in. My daughter will need to join a primary school for yr 6. I have never been in Chesterfield (going to visit the area next week) and would ideally like to get her to a school with good feeder to secondary or good secondaries in the area, would also consider grammar schools if there are any good ones.
I also have a 2 year old so ideally would like to live in an area with good pre schools.

Any advice on places we could look at when we visit next week? Any places to stay away from?

Hello,

Best results are usually achieved by St Mary's Catholic school in Newbold area. There is a primary and secondary with same name.

When I was younger Brookfield in Walton area for secondary was considered one of best. ** Not too long in the past.
