Friggin Hell 9 Year old nightmare

9 year old insisting her SHITE spellings are right.

Hmm. Is this checking work already written, or learning a list of words for a test?

If a) if she wants to insist they are right, there should be a teacher on the other end who will comment apropriately.

If b) you could give her a second, more conventionally spelt list to learn, and let her choose which ones she puts in the test tomorrow.

Sounds like preteenage rebellion, so she'll not believe you if you insist you are right. If you leave her to learn from her own mistakes, or offer her correct ones and leave it up to her, she might . . .

Or you could introduce her to a dictionary - or spell checker on the computer, if she types it up?

This was me going over the last 2 weeks spellings
She got most of them wrong, but was adamant that they were right.
I didnt let her back on the PC till she had got them right....but it took a LONG time.
