anyone heard of the cash fo qs scandal in south warwkishire for the 11PLus?

Apparently private tutors been offered 11 plus papers used in actual exam for 3k! Loads of people threatening to boycott 11 plus and private schools being slated as papers apparently being checked before being sent off and kids told to go back in to exam to finish those couldn't do. Result of which from next year going to do exam in public centres and marked all together. Scandal all about Moray papers.... Anyway they are changing to different exam board from next year. Scandals of stratford!!!

The tests in Warwickshire are sat in the school that the child attends, which is much more pleasant for the child, but could lead to more cheating imo. I suppose they will end up doing it like in Birmingham - everyone attends one centre on a particular day, so all children get equally stressed(!).

Do you think that this is true? I had heard it before but sometimes I think that there are too many rumours about the 11+. Like children who sit the retest are more likely to get in, etc.

Your horror at these goings on seem to have cured your typo-phobia .

I have no doubt that this has been going on for years. Children may attend private schools, but that doesn't mean to say that more of them are grammar school material - they just have more intensive tuition. Obviously to warrant their reputations, some private schools take short-cuts.

we have some scandal in our town with private school exams and the like
After the 11+ exam the head of a big Prep school in our town announced an excellent set of results. Infact only 3 out of 7 passed.
thats what private schools do fgs and they cannot even do that well!
