dear mums,

we have recently moved to Lon and live very close to Orley Farm school. we have really good impression of this school from outside but one thing we struggling to access as how this school is academically.

essentially this is key for us for our 3 yrs old daughter but unfortunately cant find any information on 11+ results on school website and this form. Also, we dont have much family circle around the area.

really appreciate specific feedback on this

More geared towards 13+, not great success rate at 11+ but its a nice school.

thanks softhedgehob / bulletpoint
any suggestion for girls prep school in the area - we not too much bound to harrow and can move if necessary

Habs/NLCS go through to 18 and take in at 4+.

thanks. i heard these schools are very competitive - my both daughters are more of a shy personality.
any suggestions for prep only school

Habs more worth a try for a quiet child than NLCS.

Please look at St Margaret's, Bushey. Nice school, girls only, lots of nice quiete DC, as well as feisty girls (but a good balance), sounds like it would suit OP's DD. Habs for a quiet girl???Shock no, no, no, never!

bulletpoint St Margaret looks good - also come across St Hilda nearby - any views

Softhedgehog I'm chuckling at the thought of Habs girls being the shy quiet type. Never before have I seen such a group of confident, assertive girls. It is a fabulous school but not for the feint hearted. The playground is a jungle! I hesitate to generalise at all but I'd say NLCS takes the more cerebral type.

I didn't say it was the best school in the world for a quiet child, though I know quite a few who are happy there. I said I thought that of the two mentioned (NLCS and Habs) it would be the better option.
