Unless you say which part of the country you are in then it's hard for anyone to help you. The best way to find a good tutor is recommendation. Six years old is very young for a tutor. Is English your children's first language? Do you want the tutor to prepare your children for the eleven plus or to help with special needs?

I hope someone can give you a recommendation.

What are you trying to tutor for- and exam? Or is this English as a foreign language? They are very young to be tutored, if it is a foreign language to them, an English speaking Au Pair girl or nanny might be the way to go.

An exam- I clearly need an English tutor, too

apologies! I am new to this forum. I thought it automatically shows my location. I am local to Dartford and I need an English tutor that can help with 7+ and 11+ tutoring.

Suggest you look on first tutors or tutor hunt and put in your postcode. This isn't a tutor finding site - there are paid for ads somewhere I think
