Recommend good private schools in home counties

Someone told me that private secondary schools in Bucks and Herts are really expensive - £18-£20 p.a. - compared to other good private secondary schools in other home counties.

Does anyone know of a good, lower priced private secondary school in and around London + home counties that they would recommend, please?

Surrey/Kent you would be looking at 16k upwards.

I imagine home counties private schools all pretty similar in price. Haberdashers (girls) in Hertfordshire is about £15.5 pa I think. Pipers Corner in Bucks is £15.9 pa. LVS in Berks £15.7. interestingly the most sought after school appears to be the cheapest, although of course they may include different things.

The independent schools run a deliberate cartel because it is not in any of their interests to start undercutting each other. You won't find a huge variation in price within a geographic area.
