what is quantitative reasoning?

not heard of it before, obviously come across non verbal reasoning and verbal reasoning but not this, what does it test?

I assumed that it was the ability to reason a solution with the inclusion of numbers, google tells me I am a bit wrong on this. Apparently it is the ability to solve problems using numerical processing skills. Examples being on the GRE and CAT tests that are used in america. Apparently there is a UKCAT test. there is an example of a question here
