I have a friend who's daughter is not doing very well at school in HK. Does anyone know what box hill is like and is the pastoral care any good?

bumping for the lovely Kenlee.

It isn't perceived as particularly academic, more outdoorsy/ practical and had a scandal among the smt a year or two back. Has associations with schools internationally so may appeal on that score. Not sure re. numbers of Full and weekly boarders vs. day. Nice setting and convenient for Gatwick and Heathrow.

ISC data below,

Boys - Age Range & Pupil Numbers:

Boarding: 11 to 19 years (96 pupils)
Day: 11 to 19 years (183 pupils)
Sixth form: 60 pupils

Girls - Age Range & Pupil Numbers:
Boarding: 11 to 19 years (61 pupils)
Day: 11 to 19 years (64 pupils)
Sixth form: 43 pupils
Size: 404 pupils

I recently queried Box Hill for my friend's daughter from overseas. I am told GCSE entry pupils will study in international center, but not with the main school. But please confirm with school admission regarding this.

Was this the school where the head resigned recently after an affair with a staff member?

Could be Duck. But it was at least a year ago.

I actually want to know is there a good anti bullying policy and are most of the kids nice and understanding?

I know people who have children there. All very happy.

I've heard rumour of a bullying incident recently. It seems to have been handled efficiently.
