Hi, we've recently moved into the area and my daughter got a place in Bickley Primary School. It's now been few months since she joined, however i'm not very impressed with it, i'm seriously considering moving her to either St George' s Church of England or Scotts Park if we are lucky to get a place. Is there anyone here from St Georges? Judging by the latest exam results the scholl significantly improved in the last couple of years, is it still good? or please express your opinion about Bickley Primary, i wonder if we are not the only ones... thank you

If your child is y2 or reception then you could also consider La Fontaine. It is a language specialist school currently next to princes plain. I think it is a fantastic school. You should visit them. Y1 has a waiting list as far as I understand.

Scott's park not had such a great reputation over past 5 years or so, if you look at Ofsted reports and do a search on this site for old threads.

The ofsted for Scotts Park is now good though. I think they had some leadership changes as it happens in every school. It didn't take them even the normal 2 years to go from a 'requires improvement' to a good. Really quick turnaround.
It's important to understand why a school gets a certain score, not just look at the number on the score.
If we go by that St George's had bad ofsted reports for years and only a good one recently.
The problem I think for all of us is that any report tells us only about the school's past. It's hard to make a decision on what the school will be like for the next 7 years. I'm applying this year and I'm finding it hard.
