Why is half term so short? I'm not the least bit ready to go back.

I've been fighting off a virus all week and have been feeling lousy. We've been over at my mum's for the week, and had a great time: a couple of trips out. I love spending time with the boys, and just "being" instead of constantly rushing.

Next half term is interminably long, and I'm dreading it already.

where I am in america (and it really varies accross the country) the children went back 28th august and break up 23rd demember!!

They get a couple of bank holidays and a couple of inservice days (including next wednasday - becuase they don't want them in school full of 'candy' and knackered) but thats it!!!

I hate it

[Really] late in Jan. I think we have INSET on 9 Jan, then pupils all back in on 10th.

So we have ages after Christmas, but hardly any time before. So I really should have started getting organised for Christmas already, shouldn't I?!

We have 7 weeks and 3 days but I will actually break up on the MOn instead of the Weds the way my days work
We go back on a Friday for an inset before starting back with Kids on the MOnday

summer holshere 101/2 glorious weeks!!!!

great at the time - but no good when you have to do 4 months straight - with 5 or so odd days off. by christmas the children will be tired out and run down.
