Just wondered if anyone is involved with this?

My 7 yr old whom i suspect has AS/ADHD starts a 10 WEEK PROGRAMME WHERE he will attend a specialist unit for 2 days a week in a class with just 5 other children...to help him with his behaviour etc at school/home.

i will attend for a weekly parent workshop...idea being we work on strategies together.

Sounds fantastic! We have a lot of SERIS-trained staff round here (Supporting Emotional Resilience in Schools), and there are some very good materials about. But I've never heard of funding for the sort of input you're describing: it sounds idea. I hope your ds benefits from it.

The only think like this (not exactly the same) is in Nurture groups. They can be great for promoting emotional security in children.
The course you are going on sounds excellent....the earlier imput goes in , the better.

Please, I would b very interested to hear how it goes, can you post updates?

Hope that it all goes well!
