I live nr Landford (not far from Wellow). I visited Wellow school but wasn't 'wow-ed' by it. It has reasonable SATs results I think...I understand that it has a decent reputation.

Put my dd's name down for Stroud a private school near Romsey until a local (local to me) parent told me to save my money and spend it on something frivolous - apparently Nomansland Primary School is the bees knees. Dd now attends there (started Reception in September) and Nomansland's recent SAT results put it in the top 5% of all primary schools nationally. It's a hidden jewel.

It would be about 10 - 15 minutes drive from Wellow to Nomansland School (not close enough to be walkable), but no serious traffic and parking at the school pretty easy.

Thanks for the insider's tip! Hope you found something suitably frivolous to spend the savings on..
