I work in Dudley. Where abouts will you be living? Is it primary or secondary schools you need?

wychbold · 28/10/2006 13:48

Hello, fairyjay, I didn't realise that you were a also midlander. Where does DS go to school- is it a Dudley LEA sch?

f1nut: before you move it might be an idea to get your terminology right. Blurring the line between Birmingham and Dudley is like confusing London and Watford!

Littlefish · 28/10/2006 13:50

Too true Wychbold. I got it wrong so many times when I first moved up here!

Does your name reflect the fact that you live just off the M5?

wychbold · 28/10/2006 16:10

Got it in one!

Littlefish · 28/10/2006 17:09

I'm really close to you then. 1 and a half junctions up the M5.

Hi wychbold
Good thing to point out the Brummie/Black Country borders!
I've always lived near Wolverhampton (Penn) but went to school, and for a long time worked, in Birmingham. Promise I always stood up for the Black Country though!
Ds and dd are at school in Telford (nice little journey!), but it suits them, and we just about fit it all in.
Where are you?

wychbold · 29/10/2006 10:07

We're in Bromsgrove, Worcestershire but DS has just started at a senior school in Dudley LEA: I was wondering if our DS went to the same school.

Littlefish · 29/10/2006 10:10

We're thinking of having a Kidderminster/Stourport/Stourbridge meet up before Christmas. Are you interested?

wychbold · 29/10/2006 10:27

That's kind of you to ask. Let me know the details (or is there a thread somewhere?)

Littlefish · 29/10/2006 12:54

No thread as yet - Honormatopoeia were just talking about it. I'll start a thread in Meet-ups in the next few days.

fairyjay · 30/10/2006 13:56

Is the school in Stourbridge wychbold? If so, we did look around it for ds - he has a number of friends there!

wychbold · 30/10/2006 19:16

Yes, fairyjay. Only been there for half a term but so far I'm very pleased with it. :D

fairyjay · 31/10/2006 10:05

Super school. Does your ds travel daily? We were well impressed with the DT department (amongst others), but for various reasons ending up looking elsewhere. I think we made the right decision for ds, but all the people I know who have a ds there are really happy.
