I don't know of any DIY test sites.
If you are worried ask for advise on warning signs for dyslexia at the Dyslexia Institute. I found them very helpful to begin with. They do charge quite a lot for testing & lessons though.
Also don't be fobbed off by school. If you are worried get them to do an initial test in school.

DORE - they e-mail you straight back, you can do an free on-line test for other problems aswell, although DORE programme very expensive to do the course £2,000 over 2 years, we go to Brain Gym, runs along the same lines but only £25 per session, and they teach you what you need to know and let you get on with it, they don't force you to make another appointment till you're ready.

Good luck!
