Habs Girls vs South Hampstead

My daughter has offers from Habs Girls and from South Hampstead @ 11+

Any advice which school to choose?

Well done to your daughter, personally, I would steer clear of SHHS, the facilities are not great in comparison, there is very little release for the girls in the way of sports etc. the girls are super competitive, can be quite bitchy and are not encouraged to work well with each other, nor do they foster long term friendships. Obviously there must be some logistical considerations for you but if Habs is further, the coaches sound like great fun and a wonderful social experience. Good luck!

SHHS is very close to us, but we were swayed by the facilites of Habs Girls.

We are currently leaning, slightly, towards Habs and hoping that this provide my daughter with the best environment academic and furthermore, an environment where she can really flourish.

We never felt that the girls were super competitive or bitchy at SHHS - my daughter, despite having left after GCSEs several years ago, still has several good friends from there.

Habs girls is a lovely school, but a long commute on the bus if you live near to SHHS - have a look on the school website what time the bus goes from your stop. Would you consider moving further out?
