Streatham and Clapham High School Junior Headmaster

Does anyone know anything about the new head of the junior school at SCHS or can any current parents comment on any changes? He came from Gatehouse School in E London and has former GDST experience. We are considering the school and are keen to know how a new head (and new deputy head?) have made an impact. Thank you.

I know him personally and he is an excellent teacher, fantastic person, very experienced and down to earth and I anticipate he will do a brilliant job!

I am a current SCHS parent and so far seems so good. There has been a riot at the school this week over heavy handed enforcement of uniform changes and he seems to have been sympathetic to parents views. Frankly the last head was a total disaster and academic standards plummeted so pretty well anyone would be an improvement

He's 1 term in now and has been an extremely approachable and visible figure since the moment he stepped into the school. He has a positive, can-do attitude that is infectious and really seems to celebrate all that the girls achieve in every aspect of their lives. As a new parent in the school I'm impressed!
