Looking at a junior school today - what to ask?

My ds is currentkly in year 2 and due to go up to the junior school next year. We have more or less decided on this school, mainly as it's connected to the infants and all his friends will be going but in a way this makes it harder to think about what I really need to know!

Any thoughts?

How do they develop the children's independence?
How do they help the transition to y3 go smoothly?
Which senior school do most children go to?
Do they have a school council?
What clubs & activities are available at lunch hour/before/after school?
Do they have a house system?
How do they reward good behaviour?
How many exclusions have they had?

I'll keep thinking!

Class sizes - at KS2 the 30 max in class cap disappears
Do they stream for maths & literacy?
How good is the school at sport/music/art?
Is homework structured over the 4 tears at the school and consistent and marked?
Do they have residential trips?
Do they welcome parents in school to help?
