Levels in year 3?

Can anyone tell me what are the expected levels in year 4? For literacy and numeracy. I have a school report and am confused.

Year 3 or Year 4? Regardless "levels" don't formally exist any more for these year groups, so any level the school has given you will be their own thing.

Sorry year 4. Am more confused now!

What were they before the new national curriculum came in? Our school is only phasing the changes in? Is level 3 a where a child should be by end of year 4?

Well on the basis that a child "should" have been on 2b at end of Y2 and 4b at end of Y6, you might work on the basis that they "should" be a on 3b at the end of Y4. Unfortunately children rarely do what they should! I also have a DD in Y4, and not sure how linking to old levels will work - she is certainly doing lots of things that weren't in old curriculum.
