St Richard Reynolds RC School, Richmond - building rumours true?

I'm wondering if others have heard this rumour too, or if parents at the school have been told anything.
I was told that St Richard Reynolds Catholic College have been locked out of the large building they're meant to be expanding into in September, by their landlord Richmond Council, because the Archdiocese of Westminster haven't been paying their bills for the refurbishment.
If so, I hope they pay up soon, because I know a few people who are expecting a place there in September!

I have heard something of that nature, though it isn't obvious on site. Anyone know more?

Any further info, updates on this, anyone?

I would also been keen to hear!

Looks like their problems may now be solved by a wad of cash from the Priority Schools Building Programme. Shock

The Fair Admissions Campaign have picked up on this story: fairadmissions.org.uk/brand-new-catholic-school-that-high-court-ruled-was-unneeded-gets-funds-intended-for-schools-in-urgent-need-of-repair/

That is disgraceful. There are schools who lost out on desperately needed funding under the Building Schools for the Future programme who are still waiting, but the DfE can find money to bail out the Diocese. What on earth is going on?

scandalousisanunderstatement · 28/02/2015 18:20

Icimoi, I suspect what is going on is an election. The Conservatives are throwing money at Twickenham, because they want Vince Cable's seat. They presumably thought nobody would notice or care that this is money that should be funding priority building projects, not propping up the vanity projects of local Conservative councils.
