Sorry, I don't know about this school (hope someon it so does).

But I thought you might like to have a peek into this thread www.mumsnet.com/Talk/primary/2168185-4-5-7-madness-2015-whos-going-to-join-me so you know you're not alone.

Sorry I can't help with the 4+ as my DD got in at 7+. I am sure if the school is the right fit for your DD she will do very well in the assessment (whatever it may be!). If it is a 1:1 assessment it will be hard to see how she socialises which I would have thought would be an important part of the selection process but maybe they are just looking for her individual response to nursery style tasks (as other similar schools seem to do) or how she responds to adult instructions??
Either way I hope she has a lovely time in the assessment and the best outcome for her schooling is achieved.

Just remember that the schools are not really able to assess pupils accurately at age 4 so if she does get in, try not to get too upset by it.

Hi OP, my DD did the 4+ at WHS and is now in year 1. Unfortunately she was extremely coy about the assessment so I have no idea what is involved! I think there may be some patterns/shape recognition, playing with building blocks, and possibly listening to a story.

The teachers are really lovely and I'm sure your DD will have a great time (it's on Monday isn't it?).

Good luck! Perhaps you could post an update afterwards for the future benefit of other parents?

Just giving an update on the assessment process. My daughter is a summer baby and probably the younger ones of the the ones being assessed.
My understanding is that they are assessed for pencil control . My daughter was asked to write name and join dots. She was read 2 books and asked questions. Shapes and colour.
She got a place!
