Hi, Has anyone used learning explorer or kumon during their child's time at secondary school? My DD has just started year 7 and does not find it challenging enough, shall I get class room based lessons or opt for a tutor?

How about neither. Talk to her school.

Kumon is boring and repetitive, not suitable for a child who is finding school not challenging, no experience of learning explorer.
If school are not challenging her, then the more you tutor out of school, the more boring school will become as she will get further ahead of her class mates. You need to address why she is not challenged at school.

I wouldn't use kumon or learning explorer. If I am going to spend my hard earned money on any kind of tuition then I at least want qualified teachers (which kumon and learning explorer have very few of).

Neither. Both deeply boring. Talk to the school.
