I am in the same position deciding between these two schools. I have heard great things about both. Have a 3 year old also! It will depend on location of new house for us as we are looking in that area but not yet sold. Good luck the your decision!

St Neots by a mile! It's just an all round fabulous place. They really use the woods as part of the curriculum too with infants spending lots of time out there (or at least that was the case when we saw it 8yrs ago) We didn't like Daneshill at all although I know lots of people loved it. I'm not sure if it's the same HT as was there 8yrs ago but when we went it was very much as if they were vetting us to see if we would fit in. Ds1 was offered a place but I hate all that pretentious bull so we turned it down. I didn't like the 'welcome to the clique' type of thing. The opening line from the HT was to ask DH what his golfing handicap was. But I get that lots of people do like all that and they have a good reputation locally. We no longer live locally though so my boys are now at a different school entirely although they would be at st Neots if we still lived in HW.

Hi, I'm really interested also regarding any ongoing thoughts or decisions as we are also in the process of looking at these 2 schools. We haven't visited Daneshill yet but it's much closer. St. Neots had a fabulous open day and we fell in love despite the distance. Our friends kids go there and love it. They have blossomed. I've heard Daneshill can be stuffy but also met a lovely ex-pupil whom loved it there. A visit will no doubt clarify. We're very down to earth and the fees are comparable so maybe SN is a better option and just travel further.
