Reddiford, Bucks or St Helens Hillingdon

Hello all,

After going through a long list of schools in North west London, I've finally short-listed Reddiford, Buckingham Prep school & St Hellen's College, Hillingdon for my DD for 4+.
Would really appreciate if anyone can post their recent experiences with any of the above schools in NorthWest London (and maybe any other school that their DC attends). I'm so not able to decide which one would be better for my DD. I would prefer an academically good school that lays importance on extra curricular activities and over all personality development.

And feedback would be really appreciated.

Thanks for your messages. Sorry for the typo haveagoharibo, I have a son (DS :)). Does anyone know if any of these schools encourage children to apply for 7+ exams or at least are not fussy about children applying to 7+ exams?

I have a child at Reddiford now in his penultimate year. He is very happy there and we have been very pleased with the school. Feel free to search my other posts on the subject, there are some long ones with plenty of info.

Your choice will ultimately depend on your feeling of each school, and which one you think might suit your child more.

If you are very serious about 7+ you'd be better off sending our child to a proper pre-prep where they will prepare specifically for 7+. I think most schools lose the odd child each year at that stage but really if that were me I'd choose a pre-prep. The Hall in Northwood springs to mind.

stikmatix, may I ask, how is the pastoral care in Reddiford?

Stikmatrix can you please tell me more about the Hall Pre-prep in northwood. We are considering it for our DD next year.
