Bursary increase question

Due to unforeseen circumstances we are going to have to ask for the increase in bursary for our DC. Just wanted to ask those who have experience with this, whether it'd be reasonable to discuss figures with the HM or whether we should just ask for an increase and hope for the best.

Obviously, knowing our own situation we have been able to calculate the maximum we could afford to pay at this stage but not sure how acceptable it is to discuss these matters with the HM

You can discuss them with the bursar, but presumably they are under no obligation to raise their current bursary offer. Do you have a contingency plan if they say no?

They generally have their own rules. You provide all your financial details and they then decide the bursary. you would need a very good reason to get a better offer.
