I am struggling to get on a functional skills course maths in particular as I've missed the enrollment this year. Has anyone studied maths from home instead of college. Can I improve my maths by buying books and doing exercises from home?? Or will I be wasting my money. I am at entry level 3 and aiming for level 2

have you seen these? the fs lecturers use them at my college for lesson planning and ds uses one of them in his self directed learning periods. Not a waste of money if you are going to be taking the exams imo

If you struggle with maths then trying to teach yourself maths is likely to be a nightmare. If you have a mathematical brain, it will be fine.

Can you afford a tutor to help you? I used to love tutoring adults as they were so motivated.
