though i 've been living in uk for ten years, i am not familiar with good schools in camberley. my daughter is in year 4 in a state school. in year 3 she got 3a for literacy,3b for maths and i am looking for a good school for her. we are thinking of farnborough hill....as per my neighbour's advice. but the 1st thing is we are hindus with asian background. i don't know how much will my dd adopt to the fh environment. won't she be bullied by other girls? just i want to know how much this school would impart safe and sound education to her.

when i have to actually start looking for a secondary school for my daughter?
i need someone's help to get reasonably good schools list

I'm not from Camberley.

If your area is not grammar schools, then if you go to open evenings when your DD is in y5 (they happen Sept/Oct time) you can get an initial view.

Especially if you are concerned about bullying due to being Asian/Hindu you could ask schools about their ethnic mix & how they deal with bullying (watch out for schools that say bullying doesn't exist). If you get shown round by pupils you can ask them the same questions!

You can also read the schools' latest Ofsted reports, though you should not choose a school based only on these.

Then go back in y6 to firm up on your choices.
