As per the title. I'd like one for ds aged 7 who is rather resistant to repeating them with me. Any other ideas welcome too. I've looked at some of the old threads on this and found the games but I don't think he's good enough to play them well so I intend to use them as a bribe to get him to learn them

look at the mathisfun site, there is something on their called the maths multiplier or some such thing. Basically it splits the table into segments anyway you want to split it, you set your own times and off you go typing in the answers. 15 minutes a day for a couple of weeks and he'll be just about there. Have tried posting a link below.

This can also be used for number bonds etc, anything else which requires repitition. Mathisfun is free, there are a lot of fantastic free maths resources on the internet.

Percy Parker

toomuchicecream · 17/09/2014 20:41

Percy Parker for me too.

There are an awful lot of truly dreadful tables CDs out there which will leave you wanting to crash the car, should you play it on a journey. Percy Parker doesn't make me want to slit my wrists - in fact, I'll sing along with it Grin

AmberTheCat · 17/09/2014 21:20

Yep, Percy Parker. Be warned that you'll find yourself singing them for the rest of the day, though...

Thanks

Percy Parker
Be warned you'll be humming the tunes for weeks though Confused

Percy Parker.

Buy yourself some noise cancelling head phones at the same time!

Another vote for Percy Parker.

Though not the 10x table one ("Just add a zero" - NOOOOO! You don't just add a zero, you move all the digits one place to the left, and then put in a zero as a place holder....)

And in one of the songs the children don't enunciate clearly, and it bugs me. But apart from that....

Littlefish · 18/09/2014 22:05

I agree Oakmaiden - the 10x table one drives me nuts! It goes against everything we told dd! In fact, we just joke about it before she sings it.

Hillfog · 18/09/2014 22:12

Percy Parker is on Spotify too if you use that.

Elibean · 19/09/2014 11:34

Percy every time Smile

But when you do give games, try Squeebles - my 7 yr old dd loves them and has learned almost all her tables already using them and Percy together.
