That's it really - am looking for recommendations for spelling games, maths games etc that I can download -preferably for free Smile

Any suggestions?

The BBC bitesize webpages are full of maths/English/science facts and games- my 8 yr old loves them.

If on iPad try the Squeebles apps. There's one for spellings and for times tables. I think they're free.

My 8-year-old loves the Big Brainz maths games - times tables, etc.

we use focus pocus, it's cool but not free though

Scratch is free to dowload and will teach some programming skills. Can then create their own games. Kodu is also free to download and is good for creating games. Maths Whizz is also good but not free. Think its £19.99 per month so not cheap.

You can get all the classics in children's versions for free such as Wordsearches, Scrabble, Su Doku.

Also look at the free games called 2048 & Where's My Water.
