Schools in Devon especially Bramdean

I have been looking at independent senior ( secondary) schools recently.
I have come across Bramdean. Its got an impressive web and facilities and the choir impressed me. School fees seem rather too impressive and it looks a bit small from Ofsted figures. I couldnt find a recent ISI for it.

Does anyone have any experience of this school? ( I tried searching it on MN but all the references came up with dud pages).

I know people with kids there, and I know people who teach there. It's very good for arty kids. It's not the most academic place in the world though. The facilities for dance, drama, music etc are fabulous and the teaching is superb.

Thanks. Their declared results look very good for a small school which is
"not academic". Might go and see how they treat me as a visitor. Its on the extreme point of where I can travel to send DC to school. There doesnt appearto be a bus route so I will have to drive I think. I do not live in Exeter (I live Newton Abbot/ Ashburton area ).

btw, is it a day school only? I cant see anything about boarding. I do not want DC to board so its not a problem. I just want to know.

I'm fairly sure it's a day school only. The kids I know who go there are lovely and all very talented. I think there's a good nursery scheme. Like I said, the arts facilities and education offered by the school really are superb. No idea about the sport.
