10+ Tutors

I live in Hampstead and ds goes to a local Church of England school. I would like to get him into a decent secondary. so I'm planning to send him private (City Of London School would be ideal. but I know there are very few places) so I know I'll have to tutor him. Also, he will sit for 10+.

Yet when I asked some of the other parents at his school if they could recommend a tutor they all clammed up - competition it seems. Is this common, it seems depressing to me.

Does anyone know a good tutor who is good at 10+ entrance exam?

You need to ask people whose children have been through the exams in the last year or two so they aren't in direct competitions. No one in your son's year will tell you anything, they will all just deny that they are tutoring!
