New school for 4 days is it too soon for a playdate?

DD started reception on Monday. For the past 2 days she has been asking me if we can arrange for 2 girls in her class (she didn't know them before Monday) to come over after school to play. She is my eldest so this is all new to me. The question is, will I look like a lunatic/needy mum if I approach the girls parents' so soon?

Thanks. Yes she is settling in great, only doing mornings atm (and complaining it isn't long enough), but will go full time week after next.

is she doing omrnings? why don't you suggest a jaunt to the park straight after session and a picnic (if its still warm there) to get to know other mums on neutral grounds

whilst you still can .. it could then maybe be an open invitation to all if you felt brave enough .. and you ahve a week to fit it in

agree with cod wholeheartedly on the 3 kids issue btw .. it can go horribly wrong and I try to avoid it where possible (of course for some reason that means I end up with 4 rather than 2 ... bugger .. I'm doing something wrong there)
