Has anybody any views on these schools?

Pros & cons?

Good & bad?

It was a red letter day when Waitrose took over from Somerfield! The brewery shop is a brilliant off licence too.

CiderwithBuda - can I ask what changes are happening at Kings Taunton with regard to Saturday school? ds is potentially going there in 2015 as a day pupil so we don't need Saturday school but intrigued that they may be changing it.

CiderwithBuda · 21/08/2014 18:00

Actually it's Kings Hall I'm thinking of inthename - they stopped Saturday school.

inthename · 21/08/2014 18:02

ah ok, perhaps the senior school will follow!

will2power · 22/08/2014 08:43

Sherborne is lovely though 'town & gown' split?

Plus I'd be too near too school for a boarding teenager?

Although does have a new Waitrose - ironic after the Tesco campaign?

Bridport has Waitrose too but also a hatter's shop and beach.

Dreamy.

How about Bruton & Sexey's?

Snook! You know it, OP. Live in Powerstock so that I can live your life vicariously.

Sleepyhoglet · 22/08/2014 11:05

Sexeys is a good school. It's state not private sector so would be harder to get a place.

will2power · 22/08/2014 12:30

Snook? A cold water fish? Sucker punch?

What's a 'sucker punch'?

You wouldn't want the other bits of my life grovel.

Just trying to make things better.

Thanks for all the advice.

You've all been really great.

mumsnet I love you!

Snook is the name of the hatter in Bridport! A sucker punch is an unexpected punch or blow.

Really sorry you've been having a lousy time. Good luck.

will2power · 22/08/2014 13:10

A hatter's called Snook's.

What more could I want?

If I can just keep up the 'will' a little bit longer, it'll all be fine.

Thanks again.

welcome to Dorset!

grovel · 22/08/2014 14:03

Where are you, sailorsgal?

sailorsgal · 22/08/2014 14:23

just outside dorchester. Grin

grovel · 22/08/2014 14:37

Poundbury?

I went to pick someone up from Dorchester South (or was it West?) recently. Hadn't been for ages. You've got a Pizza Express!

sailorsgal · 22/08/2014 17:20

used to be on Poundbury but moved to a village.

grovel · 23/08/2014 00:08

I think we should probably stop, sailorsgal, and just wish will2power all the best. I'd love to discuss Dorset villages on another thread.

Keep up the "wil",OP. Your MN style is crisp and funny.

xx
