11+ English tips and techniques

My DD is quite weak in English. She will be sitting the 11+ exams in sept in Sutton.

Does anyone know of any good techniques to use for comprehension especially inference.

Also any good resources for extended writing ?

Any tips or advice appreciated

No expert at all but doing same thing for dd. We do it by her or me reading paragraphs/pages the talking about it. Tbh I find this incredibly boring so not sure how much help it is !

Got to say... I tried my best an failed. Now paying an 11+ tutor. DS happier to work with her, and he's always prepared when she arrives. She gives him homework which started with small tasks, but now extended. She does lots of timed comprehension with him. Also she advised him to read a lot and do some of the 11+ GL tasks.
(Is your DD going for Sutton Girls High School? My DS has a friend who's starting there in Sept.)

Yes am trying for wallington girls and non such. DD needs extra support with English
