TOMORROW they must wear yellow, take a roald Dahl book (each, we have only one and two boys to fight over it), take a chocolate snack (I shop on fridays), wear back to front clothes and write a revolting rhyme for Roald dahl Day.

I really like the idea,, but notice????????

For tomorrow?! How ridiculous!

FillyjonktheBananaEater · 12/09/2006 19:16

ah yes, its true, tommorrow is my birthday

oh, and roald dahl's

hulababy · 12/09/2006 19:16

Very last minute. I would find the wearing yellow the hardest I think.

bosscat · 12/09/2006 19:17

what are you supposed to do if you don't have a roald dahl book!

southeastastra · 12/09/2006 19:18

bung a duster in with some white tshirts!

tassis · 12/09/2006 19:18

this would annoy me too

nice idea, but more notice required

hulababy · 12/09/2006 19:20

If no RD book, could you print of something from the net - one of his poems or soemething?

PeachyClairHasBadHair · 12/09/2006 19:25

Good idea Hb

We do have a roald dahl book in amongst our collection of hundreds, a great big compendium thing, but they can't share it (plus the latter to says 'to swap for the day with another child', and this was a bloody expensive hardback thing we bought as a special gift)

All the Mums at school were . i think I can manage most of it, but still!!!!!!!

Do you have any drinking chocolate or cocoa powder? Mix it well with butter and sugar and make sandwiches with the crusts cut off.

Why yellow, and why back-to-front clothes?

PeachyClairHasBadHair · 12/09/2006 19:26

I ahve no idea why yellow, apaprently Roald wore clothes back to front

alledgedly

I agree the short notice is ridiculous.

If you don't have enough yellow clothes, would it be in the spirit of the occasion just to pour some custard over non-yellow clothes

Marina · 13/09/2006 14:51

The yellow would be our big headache too...so how many of these did you manage peachy?

sorrell · 13/09/2006 14:51

Stupid and inconsiderate idea. I would be v cross. The books are going to get all mixed up otherwise I'd say go to the library, and as for yellow clothes...words fail me. Who has yellow clothes ffs?

hulababy · 13/09/2006 14:52

I found a yellow (ish) t shirt in DD's wardrobe - I could have managed it after all. Albeit it has Backyardigans on it!

PeachyClairHasBadHair · 13/09/2006 14:58

One has their old playschool (age 3 LOL) t-shirt under his shirt, and a print out of The Telvision by Roald dahl; the other also ahs the same poem, plus a nasty nasty chavvy tracksuit top that was worn once in a footie summer training camp aged 4, iirc.

trousers on back to front, tho you can't see it under the shirts

I amde a chocolate snack from chherios, sugar, brown sugar, marge, golden syrup and bourneville.... like a cross between flapjack and cheerio brittle
