Please help me! Need an English tutor and quickly.

Dear all,

This is my first ever post on mumsnet and I'm slightly nervous. My DS is in Y5 and is doing pretty well. We received his report yesterday and the only subject that let him down slightly was his English Comp. We are hoping to apply to the local Independent schools (KSG and Hampton) and believe getting him a tutor to teach him the skills and techniques in comprehension could help get through this very stressful period. Please, please could someone recommend a fantastic English tutor they have used? We can then use the tutor checklist on mumsnet to see if they are suitable for DS but at present I do not know where to start looking :( Very lost!
DS has began to lose his confidence when doing reading test and I need to help restore it with a little help.

I don't know any tutors in your area but I'd recommend "Collins Primary Focus- Comprehension" if you haven't used it before. They were recommended for my DD to help with her comprehension and we've found them to be very good.

I can work through this in the summer, however, would still love someone to recommend a tutor for Sept.
