Teaching Assistant Course

Hi, I have currently just completed a Level 2 – Teaching Assistant Programme online and have now been told by the academy that I have 3 days to decide which awarding body I would like to register with. I have done a little research but I am still unsure. I would like to know which awarding body I should go for, should I go for NCFE or CACHE?? Which of the two awarding bodies has more value and recognition in schools in the UK?? I want to make the right choice.

I did my level 2 with CACHE, naila, , but at college rather than online.

Im a bit confused as to how you could complete a course though without accreditation already in place, unless the syllabus is the same for both awarding bodies?

Thank you for replying! Yeah your right, well basically I was told before starting my course that I will be accredited by NCFE. But recently the academy had emailed me saying that:

"From 15th July 2014 they will no longer be using the NCFE as their Awarding Body, and that NCFE have given them time until the 15th July in order to register all learners that are doing the TA Course and to pay for their registration fees. Also that they have decided to remain with CACHE only who are a specialist Education Awarding Body and are more recognised within the education sector."

Then they start saying that "Once the payment has been received they will then be able to register me with the NCFE for my assessments and moderation. And that if I do not require the certificate or to be registered with the NCFE, then I will not need to pay the fee. However, without this I will have no evidence that I have completed and passed the course."

This is what I have been told by them now, I'm feeling so annoyed right now and it's just ridiculous like if I'd known this was going to happen, I would never have done this course! Oh well I have now made made up my mind and have no choice but to go with with NCFE body.
