No crying but desperate to see dd after her first day at Middle School.

littlerach · 05/09/2006 13:49

Not me, but DD2 did sob as DD1 skipped into school.

And wailed all the way home.

Fimbo · 05/09/2006 13:51

Oh yes, ds is not amused at all that his big sister has disappeared after having her all to himself for 6 weeks.

DS2 was off like a whippet on speed, on look back, he has a new teacher who looks about 12 (oh my god im getting old)
DS1 looked sad, hes being bullied and he hates school now,
Hate seeing him so sad.

I admit I felt a bit choked, partly becos we had a very good, happy summer hols, much better than my expectations. So even tho' I craved some time to myself, I'll miss ds for the next few days.
And I do HATE the business of getting him out of the door in time on school mornings.

Gobbledigook · 05/09/2006 14:24

A fwe mums were feeling emotional this morning (going into yr 1) but I didn't. I'll be jumping for joy when they are all finally back at school/nursery and that's not till next Monday (nursery)

Maybe slighty different for me cos it's going to mean that for the first time in 5 years I can properly get my work done in teh daytime rather than evenings and weekends. OTOH,I'm soooo looking forward to being able to go for a swim or go shopping without a child in tow.

Nope won't be crying tomorrow when DD goes and definitely not when DS goes on Thursday

Can't believe I will have 3 days to myself to get the cleaning, shopping etc done with nobody messing it all up again - yiiiiiippppppeeeee

Am a little worried about DS making it through the whole day though - he will be worn out.
