Living in Canary Wharf-schools for reception-Help please

Hi, My DS will start reception in 2016. Need some advice on good schools in the area. I live and work in CW so either a school nearby or one that has a bus service would be ideal.

Looking for Independent schools at this time with good exit data to the Londay Day schools and extracurricular development- music and sports.
Any advice or suggestions from mums or dads with DC in schools around Canary Wharf or one with a bus service to CW?

Thanks much

i think theres a bus service to forest school but it may prove to be a bit of a trek. What's wrong with the local free schools?

I think there is school bus around from Gatehouse School in Hackney.

A girl in my daughters class used to live in CW but now doesn't, her mum said everyone moves out when their kids get to school age.....

There is Montessori primary near South Quay that is supposed to be very good but other than that I am afraid most people move out when they get engaged, or at least by the time they are pregnant....

There are lots of great state schools. Independent doesn't necessarily mean better.

Lots of people stay too!!!!

I never think of CW as a family area.urban singletons, yes, not kids in school
Whats the local authority?you could contact them about catchments
Private schools i suppose theyre not necessarily close and onus is on you to get there

i think the Montessori is called Riverside ...

Have you looked on the l.e.a. website and at Ofsted reports?

Gatehouse and Faraday School have bus services, as does the Forest School as mentioned above.
