It depends on what union they are in. Presumably some unions are happy with teachers' terms and conditions of work, others are not so satisfied.

I think it is the NUT (some of our local state schools are closed today and one or two open) and it may be about pensions.

It's not that some unions are happy and some not, most are not, it's just the NUT members resort to strike more frequently!
