Recommended schools near Swindon & Cirencester?

Hi all! I have just moved to the West Swindon area and am looking for a good independent school for my twins (son and a daughter). I have done some research but am after some first hand local advice! My favourite so far is Prior Park Prep near Cricklade. Seems great according to its website and just what we are after. Any views? Advice appreciated!

We are very happy with Prior Park Prep. Our son entered the nursery as a rising 3 last year and has really flourished. We have been delighted with the communication that we have had from the school and the children have some amazing opportunities. The Forest School trips each week and the PE lessons set the nursery apart from many others!

My son has just finished his engineering degree and sailed across the Atlantic in a Challenger racing yacht. He enjoyed seven wonderful years at Prior Park Prep and still keeps in touch with his early friends.

I have just taken my Son to the Prior Park Prep senior play of "Alice @ Wonderland" and it was incredible. We were both entertained from start to finish and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. To see the older children working so well together and delivering their lines so enthusiastically has helped to reinforce that we have made the right decision to send our son to Prior Park Prep. Can't wait to see him on that stage in 8 years time!

Pinewood. St hughs. Beaudesert. Have you looked at these? I'm not sure if they are too far from you?

What a curious coincidence that vj56 has posted only once, lovingbeingaparent2 has posted only four times. All posts singing the praises of prior park.

liked all the schools mentioned but the ISI results and report for Prior Park Prep seemed better to me...

My views about prior park prep on another thread, but feel free to msg me should you have any questions. Like Lovingbeingaparent2, I am a parent. My dc went to Acorns (pre-prep) and is in the lower prep currently. I think that there is a Prior Park minibus that travels from West Swindon to the school every morning.

Chickpeastew - I am not surprised by the posts about the recent posts about PPP. I am not a regular poster on Mumsnet, but I too feel compelled to write after reading some of the older posts here from 2007 (I think?) unfairly maligning the school by people whose children never attended. It stunk of snobbery!
