Have any other teachers out there given up teaching and found an alternative job / career they enjoy? Unfortunately i am thinking of following many friends / colleagues who have left due basically to the pressure & unreasonable workload. (All very good teachers too!) After dc1 i returned for 5 years and after dc2 returned part time but still find the job all consuming. (not being in the classroom but all the things you are expected to do out of it.)
If anyone else has made the leap to something more rewarding and manageable (tho maybe less well paid) i would love to hear about it!
