Teach Assist - My Good Experiences anybody else

I came on here a few weeks ago worried about my children's education. I came across a company called Teach Assist, they specialise in English, Maths, Science and Common Entrance in London (www.teach-assist.com).

From the first call I was assured that they were a good educational company as they gave me good advise on how they could help my children on the telephone. The tutor from a leading University came to our house and they gave differentiated worksheets, a secure virtual learning environment where resources can be gained and my children can communicate with the tutor after the lesson. The tutor also stays longer than the allocated time and provides 24/7 support. And my children are loving the learning experience and after two sessions are developing.

I am asking if anyone of you have heard of this company and if you feel £25 per hour is good value for a good tutor

This sounds more like an advert than asking questions. Surely if you were asking questions you would have done that before you paid up.

Why did the tutor give your child differentiated worksheets when you are paying for a one-to-one, exclusively-tailored-to-your-child's-needs tutoring experience?

I think you should keep looking. I would be fairly disappointed by that myself.

Actually, I will add to that last comment of mine:

You should be looking (ideally) for a criminal record check certificate and teaching experience. Ask for references and chase them up. Smile
