Interested to hear feedback from others. My dd found it challenging and couldn't finish the science comprehension. Based on her feedback I really haven't a clue how's she has done??

As an observeration SPGS (neighbours child) always the "good" girl at school then on to Camridge then after leaving takes job in L'0real !! Other friends daughter a spirited Latymer girl much less studious still goes on to Oxford.
Is SPGS just the means to a (boring) paid job?

despite this being a zombie thread:

L'Oreal is a huge multinational company which offers a good quality graduate programme. I wouldn't characterise it as 'boring'.

Nor would I assume that the academic level differes much between Cambridge and Oxford.

It seems to me that both girls you describe have done well, as many girls do, possibky because each was in a school that suited her as an individual.

Absolutely right, VikingVolvo, l'Oreal's graduate programme is pioneering, international and highly competitive. Sir Lindsay Owen-Jones joined it on graduation from Oxford and he went on to become CEO, one of the most successful British businessmen of his generation.

It is great to hear of Paulinas wanting to join l'Oreal. That speaks well of the school and of its open minded "can do" attitude.

Actually this is one thread amongst the many zombie threads that twin prime has put back up that might actually be useful to parents because stressedbutblessed's DD applying from overseas with no preparation did get a place at SPGS.

That is amazing to hear. I hope it's a sign for us!
