Can anyone recommend any good primary schools in Dorset as I am moving there in March and my little one starts in September.

Where in Dorset are you moving to? It's a fairly big county Wink

Sort of Wool/Wareham area. :)

Have you decided which part of Dorset?
I can only comment on those in the Wimborne area - afaik most have a good reputation. Certainly Sturminster Marshall, Henbury View, Springdale and Rushcombe are very good. Some of them are small, only one class per year, so check the catchments very carefully.

Hi girliegav,

The best people to contact are the School Admissions Team
Email: [email protected]
Tel: 01305 221060
Fax: 01305 228635

They were very helpful in securing a place at short notice in the school we had chosen as our first choice. You could always look at the Ofsted reports and then contact the schools directly, though they may refer you back to school admissions. HTH Smile

transport in Dorset is dire - especially when it fills up with Grockles in the summer.
Pick the school nearest your house if you are outside Bournemouth/Poole

I would get into the catchment area of Broadmayne though friends kids are at Bere Regis and love it.
